How To Get Inspired When You're Feeling Stuck In Your Business

Hey beauty,

Walking along Burleigh Beach with girlfriends is one of the rituals that grounded me into my new home on the Gold Coast — and today I’m sharing some of the rituals that help me stay in a high-vibration state in my business. (Beach walks and ocean swims are some of them!)

Click here to listen to this audio now.

In this vlog — a snippet from an UPswing Mastermind Coaching Call — I share the importance of finding what works for you when it comes to shifting your vibration; my favourite book on mindset; how to actively steward your energy as an entrepreneur; and how to build alignment practices into your day…

So that you can go from high-vibe to low-vibe, and get re-inspired with EASE when you’re feeling stuck. 💗

How To Be Your Own CEO And Get More Done As An Entrepreneur

Hey beauty! 💗

Business and entrepreneurship can get super-serious and all-encompassing sometimes, can’t they? And honestly, when they take up ALL of your time, energy and attention - it can make you kinda boring. #tunnelvision

I started feeling this way earlier in the year — so I intentionally planned a trip of FUN and connection, to people and places which have nothing to do with my job.

Yes, I am still coaching as I travel, and part of the trip is actually for a mastermind with other entrepreneurs — but two weeks were carved out purely for time with my family, and 5 days just with my husband. It feels really great to focus on what matters most.

And I know I’m not alone in getting swept up in entrepreneurship sometimes either!

Choose To Trust Yourself

It's been very busy in my world lately.

Working with over 50 health coaches a week, launching the next round of my UPswing Mastermind program, and travelling back to New Zealand for Christmas and New Year with my family.

A few weeks back I was presented with an opportunity that felt almost too good to be true.

I hesitated... I almost didn't say yes... Maybe they were mistaken... Maybe I should think about it some more first... Maybe I'm actually too busy right now... I'm about to launch my program so maybe I should be "safe and responsible" for the next few months...

Oh and the clincher: Maybe I shouldn't spend the money needed to take action...

Isn't the mind clever at holding us back from our dreams?!

Are You Truly Open To FREEDOM? (I wasn’t until this happened this week…)

As I write this to you from high up above the world I am feeling a massive sense of freedom (yup, I’m currently experiencing one of my bucket list experiences – flying from NYC to LA on Virgin America First Class - (a whole other post to write on this experience!).

In fact, this entire trip has been all about FREEDOM at a whole new level of awareness and unfolding for me.

How To Get Into Your Creative Flow (Lessons From NYC)

I see so many new health coaches get stuck on being creative – coming up with ways to market their purposeful packages, getting creative with naming their packages and programs, coming up with website and sales page copy that sells or creating blog posts that knock their readers’ socks off.

I’ve witnessed an idea that perhaps some people are ‘born’ more creative than others. I happen to think it is not that way at all.

The Blunt Truth Behind Working From ‘Feminine Flow’

I went to the Internet Marketing Party here in Austin last night and when the guest speaker shared his $4 million dollar launch secrets, his parting quote was ‘sorry folks, this does NOT happen by sitting on your laptop on a beach’

The crowd laughed a knowing laugh.

He had such a good point.

Anyone who is running a really successful business is still ‘working’ to make it happen.

And as female entrepreneurs, I think we are looking for that magical ‘balance’ between freedom and success.

While I see so many female entrepreneurs wanting to live a freedom-based lifestyle, I do think the conversation in female only circles tends to quite skewed.

How To Stay Focused On Your Business During Chaotic Times

I know a lot of us are facing chaotic, uncertain times at the moment so I wanted to share how I have dealt with chaotic times in the past to keep focused on moving the needle forward in my business…

The last few days have been a challenging few. Right now I should’ve been sitting by the pool at my hotel in Austin.

Instead, I am sitting on my sofa at home, cramming in some work before my husband wakes up.

2 days ago, just as I was starting to pack for my month-long trip, someone rang to let me know John, my husband, was in an ambulance on morphine, and on the way to the hospital.

I won’t go into all of the details, but he’s now home – with a broken collarbone – and we’re navigating the next steps of surgery, healing and whether he can look after himself while (if) I’m away.

And you see, this is just the way it is to be an entrepreneur.

3 Ways To Get Your Spark Back (When Nothing's Going Right!)

“I feel like I’m putting myself out there. I’m doing talks on Health & Wellbeing at the gym, and I’m posting on Facebook, but it just doesn’t seem to be going to that next level. I want to be getting paying clients.”

“I feel frustrated because I’ve been putting in a lot of effort it seems and I’m not getting results.”

“Where am I going wrong? I know my stuff. I feel I should be way more ahead than I am.”

Sound familiar? Not only do I hear this often from new Health Coaches in my UPswing Mastermind, but I went through this exact scenario myself when I was starting out.

Let me offer some relief by saying this…

It is absolutely normal to be feeling frustrated when you’re not getting the results you hoped for.

Your inner child IS going to start getting stroppy and grumpy if you’re giving, giving, giving and not getting.

My "Breathe-Out" Process For Self-Reflection & Goal Setting

Just before I wrapped up for the year, I spent a divine Sunday with one of my mentors, Rebecca Campbell, at her Spirited Urban Retreat.

Perched right on the beach, there was really nothing Urban about it, but it symbolized leaving our lives behind us to experience a BIG breathe out of a day to release the year that had been straight into the waves ahead of us.

For many of us, the past year was not an ‘easy’ year, but one of immense growth (it certainly was for me), and I knew it was important to take space to release that.

Healthy Habits For Entrepreneurs With Dr Libby Weaver

Dr Libby Weaver is one of my all-time favourite wellness experts. I was very fortunate to interview her a few years back on burnout and fatigue when I was health coaching, and even luckier to connect again for another interview recently - on all things health, wellness and business!

I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did and take valuable insights from her advice for entrepreneurs running your own business!
